My Godchild

When I first saw him almost a year ago he was only 2 months old.  He was quiet and sweet and smelled like baby powder like all babies do.  

However this is the first time I really met him.  On vacation with family we were able to get to know each other.  At first he stared at me without blinking. Looking right thru me as if to ask....

Do I know you?  Should I trust you?

After a while he gave me the sweetest smirk as if to say...

I was just checkin.  

I loved getting to know him and will miss feeding him, playing with him and putting him to sleep at night.

My Little Brother

I remember when we used to go to Dauphin Island as kids.  You would spend the entire time with your face in the water looking at all the fish.  You still love the water, and so do your boys.  It is such a joy to see you play in the water with them.
