Sweet Claire

So precious, so sweet, are the small little noises she makes while looking at her big sister Rowan.  She feels at home in the arms of her new best friend.  What a blessing for this sweet family.

Carrie and Kirk

I love Carrie... She is a natural beauty with a heart for God. I first met Carrie 9 years ago when she was in charge of daycare at my daughter's school. She has been a great teacher, sister and second mother to so many children, including my daughter. Thank you Carrie for who you are, and all that you do. Kirk has definitely won the hand of someone very special :)

Dora's True Love

I have taken tons of photos this weekend and this is by far my favorite. I took it at Dora's granddaughter's 15th birthday party. There is nothing special about this image, in the way I took the photo, or the way I processed it, rather what I saw through the lens. I saw the way that these two people love each other. They have been married for over 40 years and they still look at each other with such genuine love, respect and appreciation. This is the kind of love that I hope for my friends, for my family, and for my husband and myself. Here is to 40+ years of joy and love for all of us.

Delaney is One!

Sweet Delaney... At 11 months old had reconstructive heart surgery to repair 3 holes in her heart. Look at her now. Celebrating her first birthday! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Jenny's Prom

Oh to be 18 again... I had a great time with Jenny and her mother Lidia. I was told that Jenny had a great time at prom with her date. It also was a peek into the future for me. At least I have 5 more years until Avery will be going :)

Aubree is One!

Avery and I had so much fun with Aubree. She is one of he HAPPIEST babies :)

Tierney Rae

This was so much fun! Tierney is the sweetest girl! She has the most compelling eyes, so it was easy to snap such a pretty shot :) My friend Missy Baitx did an awesome job on makeup. Thanks Missy :)

Baby Blues

I took this photo a while ago. But as I was gathering my portfolio images, I found these gems.

This was the sweetest baby. You just wanted to give her a smooch. She was such a shy one, hard to coax a smile, but I managed to get a few before "she was done with me" lol. These images also reminded me that I need to take out that 85 lens and shoot with it more often.

Missy and David

I had so much fun with Missy and David. They are the neatest couple and were so easy to work with. They are an awesome couple that serves our church. Most parents have NO IDEA what big ways and small ways that Missy and David influence our kids in positive ways. I am so grateful that they serve and LOVE our children.

Rescued Designer

Ok so I got to flex my graphic design muscles again this week. After shooting my dear friend Fayanna's sons band Rescued, I couldn't stand to let them take the images and open them in Microsoft Word and try to design a CD cover, a poster, a fan card and a blog.

So.... I took matters into my own hands and this is what I came up with. I had a great time shooting them and playing with the images. They are a bunch of great guys with hearts for the Lord.

Superbowl Sunday

While my husband tossed and turned over the Saints game on Sunday, I got to go to Disneyland and shoot Ali and John for their engagement shots. It was fun trying to look for interesting nooks to shoot. I

BTW we were in New Orleans square on Pirates of the Caribbean while the Saint were winning the superbowl. So I was not too far from home :)

Sunshine after Rain

While I was driving to pick Avery up from a friends house, I had to pull over on Saturday and take this. After 5 days of rain you really appreciate the sunshine!

My Guinea Pigs

So... every time I get a new piece of equipment, photoshop action or lightroom preset I abuse my personal relationships by forcing them to pose for me. Luckily I had two willing clowns to help me out. Avery and Nina were up for some fun and let me shoot them while they Vogued a bit while I fooled with my flash setting. Thanks kiddos. You both have grown to be such beautiful young ladies !!!
