Gulf Shores Alabama

While in Gulf Shores,  I did several photo shoots with family and friends. I love all of the grasses and dunes found on those beaches, they add such an interesting element to photos.

My Godchild

When I first saw him almost a year ago he was only 2 months old.  He was quiet and sweet and smelled like baby powder like all babies do.  

However this is the first time I really met him.  On vacation with family we were able to get to know each other.  At first he stared at me without blinking. Looking right thru me as if to ask....

Do I know you?  Should I trust you?

After a while he gave me the sweetest smirk as if to say...

I was just checkin.  

I loved getting to know him and will miss feeding him, playing with him and putting him to sleep at night. 

Be good sweet Bobby.

My Little Brother

I remember when we used to go to Dauphin Island as kids.  You would spend the entire time with your face in the water looking at all the fish.  You still love the water, and so do your boys.  It is such a joy to see you play in the water with them.

Old Friends

This week I went home to visit a dear friend Charlotte.

NO...THIS IS NOT CHARLOTTE!

However this is her roommate, Max.

Charlotte and I have not seen each other in at least 2 years and this week we had the chance to get together for an old fashioned sleep over.   We stayed up late into the night laughing until we cried, and laughed again and again. Recounting our earlier days as partners in crime as DesignLogic Inc. and the crazy clients and friends we've acquired over the years.  Believe me there were MANY!

I admit...2o years went by fast, too fast for my liking. Yet we can pick up the phone after not talking for a year at a time and not skip a beat.  I miss my friend and hope to make more of an effort to stay in touch. She is one of those shining examples of a steadfast friend and truly creative individuals. 

Max isn't too bad either!  He'll be your best friend too if you share a gingersnap or three with him.
